1840’s Style Eagle Shako Plate

This is a really nice plate, with a beautiful chocolate color. The entire front is intact. The eagle has three arrows in his right talon and the leaf is in his left. He is facing left and has the U.S. shield on his breast.   The piece is 3 inches wide and 2½ high. The hooks are missing on the rear, this is probably why it was last. A fine Eagle out of the Mexican War period.
